>>16404829My home country is being driven down by extremely near-sighted far-right politics as we speak. The benefits and financial support of students, the poor, the sick and the elderly are being taken away while their number increases all the time, the economy is in the literally worst dump in the country's history, and the debt is staggering. The government is also doing jack shit about LGBT rights.
Being a sick student in need of mental care and LGBT rights, this is mildly upsetting.
My school decided to switch to a new model right in the middle of the year without warning anybody due to shitty planning. This also involves us, the ones who are supposed to graduate in the next two months. Usually this kind of changes do not cover the 3rd-yearers, but they do now, due to shitty planning.
So we're forced to sit through 100% useless and unnecessary classes and courses that waste valuable time that we should be using on working on our graduation pieces, throwing all my schedules out of the window, and having to work 12-hour days a lot more often than I'd like.
The school has also lost my high school diploma, so I have to find documented proof that I did jack shit in the three years that I spent before coming here in order to avoid having my graduation (which, again, is in two months) by half a year.
I can't even use this school for anything. I just want a diploma to prove that I've done anything at all in the past three years.
I am stuck in a relationship limbo with an asshole I can only ever be free of by murdering him, and I don't want to do that. And besides hunting for a new school (one that might even provide a living in an economy where 30% of 18-20-year-olds and 20% of 20-25-year-olds are unemployed) I should be fighting the law and the entire health care system to get a fucking gender reassignment because holy shit if I can't get a diagnosis I am jumping off a fucking bridge.
But there's starving kids in Africa, so that's totally cool.
