How come my friends and family don't take my advice or use the knowledge that I give them?

I have friends who ask me for advice on weather to buy this or that, to wear this or that. But i don't get it, why ask if they aren't going to listen? I remember my friend asking me if I she should buy this game or that game, and I told her to pick the other one because it had good reviews and the other one was riddled with dlc.

Next day she told me she bought the dlc one.


Tldr How do i make people follow my advice? I never lie, I always speak the truth with knowledge and background and experience. I just don't know why they do the complete opposite even when I presented facts that that's a bad choice.
