'Sup, /adv/ocates. Or, uh, /adv/enturers? M/adv/isionaries? Not sure what you call yourselves here, but whatever the case, hello there! Random wandering anon, dropping by in the hopes of getting a dose of wisdom for a problem I've been having for...hell, a while now.

Long story short, I work nights, but also have some daytime obligations to meet. This means that, on pretty much every Monday through Saturday, I'm pulling maybe four, five hours of sleep, and restless sleep at that. I'm on medications for various things, so I don't exactly want to experiment with drugs or other such things, and I have a bad enough history with caffeine and energy drinks that I'd like to limit my intake as much as possible - which right now, I'm shamed to say, is about one or two a shift as it is. After literally over a year and a half of this, I've barely made any strides in adapting to this sleep schedule, and feel tired, groggy and generally drained all the time, not to mention having a hell of a time faking a positive attitude for my significant other and my coworkers.

Basically, long question short - is there any way to, well, need less sleep? Because there's no way I'm going to get more, and I don't exactly care for the sort of individual I've become like this.

So yeah, /adv/ - sleep advice. Drug-free, please, my meds don't play well with others, and pot...doesn't react well either.
