Well guess what, here's the nasty truth: schools like MIT aren't taking smart people, they're taking high test scores and deep pocketbooks.
You aren't necessarily stupid, you're just moping. Which, coincidentally, is the stupid thing to do.
Do whatever you want. Don't fall for the whole "You don't go to college, you won't get a job and you'll starve to death" propaganda.
And don't fall for it when your peers complain that there's so much pressure to figure out your entire life at 18. They're wrong. You have your whole life to figure your life out.
