How the fuck do I find a good job?

God damn I just want to be financially independent and make enough to fund my writing career but I cannot for the life of me find a job that pays well and I'm not working for sociopaths.

Currently, I'm working for no money and working for sociopaths.

I feel like I want to go back to school, but I also feel like I'm too fucking dumb for that. Can someone please point out the best course of action.

Connections. The best jobs are found through family, friends, recommendations, former colleagues, etc. They're not open to the general public.

That being said, I understand what you mean by working for sociopaths. I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately, that's the business world.

I should have been a social worker. I'd rather work for shit pay and be surrounded by people who care.

If the US you just got to be willing to move.

Plenty of jobs in the south I noticed. I moved from Cali and now live in KY making good money and I have very cheap cost of living now as well.

How are you working for "sociopaths"? You think they're being manipulative? If you're not contractually obligated to keep working for them, just stop.

After that, your pragmatic options are probably menial, wage slave positions. The exact job depends on how badly you're in need of money. It's a crock of shit, but that's the current climate for folks without degrees.

Maybe you can rough it and get disciplined in the art of writing. Best of luck - it's something of a gamble, finding success in that.

I'm in dire need of money. And I know everything about the art of writing and I'm pretty good at it, and I need money to support it. I'm at a stand still with my current projects. Tone it out, if you can. He might just be poorly dealing with his own shit, unless he's directing his rage towards you. In that case, you're in a hostile work environment and should leave. At least it could be fodder for your writing.
