What do you want? Who do you want to be?
Not for anyone else but for yourself. People like you and me try too hard to prove ourselves to others because we aren't enough for ourselves. We deal with rejection from others particularly difficult because we view that as a reflection of our own identity. Of our placement in the busy world around us.
That fact of the matter is, many people will tell you no. Again, they have their reasons. And their reasons are justified to themselves.
Live your life for you. In this case, make yourself the center of your universe. Because you are. Just as those who reject you are.
Don't lose faith in others. And don't lose faith in yourself. You're more than your sexual orientation and you're much more than opinions of others.
I hoped that helped in some aspect. I can't tell you that it will get better or that you will magically and suddenly know what to do.
I don't think progress works in that way. At least in this regard.
But one day you'll take a deep breath and look back. And you'll be better.
