Everyone will know your business, everyone will know when you go somewhere together be it for dinner, a weekend away or holiday.
If you break up and it isn't ideal (mutual break up with no trying to upset one another with other relationships), it will cause conflict in the workplace, people will be forced to pick sides and some will form opinions on you purely because you broke up with X.
I've dated a colleague (we weren't going great so I got a new job elsewhere and we broke up) and a girl from admin (everyone knew our business and the other things I mentioned earlier).
Other issues are that you don't have much to discuss, you both work with and know the same people, you get sick of seeing them so much.
Being in a relationship THEN working together? it can work, but I've met very few couples who met through work, even fewer who lasted.
