Goldens are mostly lab and irish setter.
Some other incidental breeds like bloodhound and water spaniel I think? Way too fucking lazy to google it myself.
They're great, they never grow up, and they die young.
The best gift you can ever give a golden retriever is a pool of water to play in.
Be prepared for a 70-90lb dog that desperately wants to be a lap dog, and wants nothing more than to chill with you on the couch.
They're so eager to please they will train themselves as long as you don't confuse them, so if you're gonna be lax about training don't suddenly decide to start a particular training method only to drop it later.
Either be lazy and have a total brodog or pick a training style and stick with it to end up with an ultracompetent operator-dawg that knows the difference between work and play.
Just be damned sure you can deal with losing the only thing that will love you unquestioningly and unconditionally.
