They absolutely destory biodiversity by constantly gang attacking other birds and destroying their nests all whilst making the most awful squeecking sounds.

Worst part is they are native so culling or harming them is illegal. They are the only bird that I could physically harm myself as a bird person.

They prefer grassy areas with only a few trees. So obviously, they absolutely flourish around all of the cities and get to really high numbers. Because of their agressiveness they'll kill other baby birds and stop any others from nesting around the same area.

I've seen these buggers try and take on crows. It's just insane, angry little fucks.

apple cider vinegar worked for me. I just put a tiny bit mixed in the dogfood every day and I havent had to use any flea drops at all. This is only the first year Ive tried it so im waiting till next spring to see if it still works. Didnt have a big infestation though.

They arrive en masse early in the winter and drive off the local passerines (sparrows, great tits, robins), devour their bird food and generally behave as boisterous frat bros.

Also they look ridiculous with their short, misfit tail.

The only moment of grace is when they move back to Russia in springtime: they gather in the largest flocks I've ever seen and bugger off like shrieking black clouds caught in a magic wind. Good riddance.
