Well, my duck just died. What should I do with him? I don't plan to keep him in the bag BTW, I just don't want anyone to see him in his current state.
Anonymous
How old was he? I'm sorry, OP
Anonymous
>>1987200 6 months. Not even sure how he died. He was just slouched on the grass. I fed him pretty much vegetables and grains. When I got him, I had bought 2 ducks, one of them arrived dead. I thought he was going to die on the first day, since ducks are social creatures. He never did until now.

My cat, who has never done this ever before, keeps flipping over her water dish. No it hasn't changed, and the water level is consistent, and it hasn't been moved. I'm started to think she's doing this to spite me since sometimes I catch her literally TAKING THE BOWL INTO HER MOUTH TO FUCKING FLIP IT OVER. Please help. I love my cat but it seems like she's doing it to spite me and I'll actually drown her in the next 5000th puddle I have to clean up.

Get a heavier bowl, maybe one of those thick ceramic ones.

Hello anon, let's talk animal rights. More specifically, let's talk about better treatment and a better quality of life for our dogs. We should address the problem of pet overpopulation with more humane methods of sterilization such as vasectomy and tubal ligation for dogs instead of spaying/neutering. Dogs sterilized with vasectomy or partial hysterectomy remain hormonally natural, which allows them to live more natural and fulfilling lives. This is much more humane than spaying/neutering.

Preventing our beloved slave animals from ever fulfilling their purpose as lifeforms is the only way to give them the freedom they deserve, but Yuri Gagarin was only the first cosmonaut who survived not the real first cosmonaut so his inclusion in this discussion degrades it a bit.
Anonymous
>>1987219 >animal rights FYI, you're referring to animal welfare. Animal rights is PETA-tier bullshit like them suing a photographer for a monkey to have legal ownership of his selfie.
I don't know much about the spay/neutering stuff. Just wanted to clarify.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>1987244 Yeah, I worded that first post wrong.
What I am trying to say is that if we must sterilize dogs, then we owe it to these animals to use methods of sterilization which leave them hormonally natural and do not deprive them of experiencing the act of mating.

Hey /an/, I'm getting a corn snake from bhb soon, this is my first of any snake. Any tips?
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>1986877 Make sure your hides are suitably small. Snakes, most especially babies, like the kind of hide they can just barely jam themselves in to and feel the walls on all sides.
Strongly recommend the black plastic ones Pangea sells. Cheap, lots of size options, beloved of all snakes and terrestrial geckos.

>>1986877 re; BHB, they're a mass market seller. So... quality and breeding may not be the best. Google corn snake breeders in the states and see what you can find. It'll be slightly more expensive but if the breeder is solid you can be assured a healthy snake with good genetics. This is important as, sometimes, with a mass market kind of seller, you can run in to some congenital problems leading to shorter lifespan.
Anonymous
>>1986877 >Any tips? Give it away or destroy it, immediately. No bond is possible. Unless you have devoted literally millions of dollars to a palatial terrarium you are inconveniencing this lifeform, it won't ever like being handled, and you will never be able to satisfactorily interact with it.
If you really need to torture a life, pick something less advanced, preferably non-eukaryotic, otherwise non-animal. Try gardening, the plants will give you the same detectable emotional response.

How do I get my cat to stop pissing everywhere? > With the exception of carpets , if anything cloth or cloth-like ends up on the floor for more then a minute , its garenteed to be pissed on, even if it's just a lone sock or wash rag > doing laundry, carrying the dry stuff to the room, drop a sock on the way > about 2 minutes later I come back to get it, it's pissed on and cat nowhere in sight > she's also like a fucking ninja when it comes to doing it > sometimes I'll be in a room, mabey something fell on the floor without me noticing , and you won't even see or hear her enter the room, piss on it and leave, you won't even know she was there until the distinct cat urine smell reaches your nose > she's a piss ninja How do I stop this madness?

Has she always done this? If not, take her to a vet asap.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
Is she spayed? That's a good place to start if not. What is her litter box situation? She should have 2 and they should be cleaned daily for optimum results. It may be that she finds her box so disgusting that she is always looking for any opportunity to avoid using it. You could also try putting some laundry on the floor near you and observing her and it and stopping her from approaching to piss. But my guess is she's already onto the idea that you don't like it so that's why she's in stealth mode. But at the end of the day you may just need to develop a fool proof laundry containment system and not let it on the floor. I know that's annoying but it's highly achievable with a very low failure rate. I have a bunch of lidded laundry baskets myself because I have the same sort of trouble except with a dog who is obsessed with chewing the crotches out of panties and a pig who simply loves chewing holes in cloth. Of course every once in a while they'll be an incident but with closed baskets and a laundry cart it very rarely does.

I hope my cats never start that shit, It would break my heart to get rid of them but they are just animals in the end.
just google everything you can and try different things, ask the vet etc. I hope it works out for you OP

Shit happened a long time ago; we have to deal with the reality. Starlings and house sparrows are pretty well integrated into their new habitats and not rehabbing them won't make any difference to their overall population.

Hi /an/, I just fouind one of my kittens in a trash can full of water. I don't know how long he was in there but I got him out and dried him off, wrapped him in a blanket and set out warm milk and a little dry food. He acted like he wanted to vomit but nothing came out, what can I do for him? I'm super worried.

If I wanted to introduce a species of spider to the diverse ecosystem that is my dwelling, which should I choose? Preferably one that can make quick work of insects like flies without becoming much of a nuisance.

>>1987166 Golden Orb Web Weavers like Argiope species are great for your home. Just give them a sunny place near a window or something and they'll spin a beautiful golden web and catch lots of flies and shit. The problem is they are very fragile because they have big squishy buts and even a short flaw can splat them if they land on a hard surface like wood or tile. So watch out for that. If you live in America you shouldn't have trouble finding one during the warmer parts of the year. You can often find them by looking for dew in the mornings on their webs in grassy areas.
