I have no words to describe how hyped I've been feeling the last month. The 10th of November this little puppy is finally coming to my house, and I can't wait! I've always been a dog person for my entire life, but this is my first own dog.
Can you share some tips I should know for living with a big dog like this?
Pros:
>I have a big ass mansion seaside and one in the mountains. I can get there with 2 hours by car, and I hang out there every weekend.
>I live with my brother, who stays home when I'm at work.
>I have a lot of big parks 5 minutes by feet from my apartment.
>I live near my parents house.
>I can afford to feed him "real food" all the way
>I live in a city with lots of possibility of socialization
>I have a wide choice of dog educators, dog trainers and vets to go to
Cons:
>It's my first experience with a dog, and a lot of people say that it is not a breed suitable for first owners.
>I live in a 60m2 ( 196 ft2 ) apartment with no balcony and no yard.
>I work 8 hours a day, and my office is 1 hour away from home (so I stay 10 hours out from Mon to Fri)

Why is halal slaughter considered so bad?

>slaughtered animal can not see the knife at all, it has it's eyes covered during procedure
>the knife is perfectly sharp, the animal loses consciousness quickly, and does not panic
>if animal panics before slaughter, it is sent back to herd
To me it sounds as good as an animal's death gets.

Why do cats make a sound that sounds like they are saying "no"? We all know what other cat vocalizations mean, such as meowing and hissing, but for what purpose do they make this noise? Also, why doesn't my cat do it?
