Has anyone here ever used Rover.com?

I'm thinking of signing up. I grew up on a farm and volunteered for humane societies for a long time and most of the money I've made in my life has been from farm/pet sitting. But I also fucking hate social media and the thought of even uploading a picture of myself and making a profile for other people to look at gives me the willies. Is it worth it? Has anyone else made money with them? Please share your experiences.

Haloween Pet Safety Tips

No.1982388 ViewReplyReportDelete
>Keep your pets indoors
-do not leave them out in the back yard or front yard
-kids might try to feed them candy
-people might try to harm them

>keep Jack-o-Lanterns out of reach
-your dog/cat might knock it over or try to eat it

>If you pet doesn't want to wear a costume, do not make them wear a costume
-costumes should not inhibit movement, vision, breathing

>make sure that your pets won't be able to run out the front door when you are passing out candy for treat-or-treaters
-also make sure that any candy is out of reach of your pets

>make sure your pets won't be able to get harmed by Halloween decorations (choking on web, chewing on wires, injured by animations, etc)

>make sure your pets are wearing their IDs in case they do somehow escape the house

>make sure your pets have a stress free zone away from strangers, loud noises, and flashy lights
-you might just want to have someone hang out in the porch or garage to pass out candy to keep kids from knocking on your door and ringing the doorbell . this is also a good way to make sure your house doesn't get vandalized

What is the best way to train a dog not to bark at people who walk by?

I tell him no and I spray him with water and hit him (not too hard) but he doesn't stop.

From what I've researched they say wear him out and distract him but even after I take him for a long walk he still barks. I also see reward the dog after it stops barking but I wouldn't want him to think I'm rewarding him for barking help me /an/?

How would I go about training my two dogs to blow air out of their mouths?

I have two hairless dogs and they both really enjoy having raspberries blown on their tummies so I thought "Wouldn't it be cool if I could train them to do this to eachother?" and yes, it would.

Now I realise there are some physical problems here like the lack of lips and the general issue of the shape of the mouth/snout but I don't think that would be a big problem, if they close their mouths and only blew gently it could definitely still work.

I can just imagine them blowing raspberries on eachother happily.

Ideas?

I know this really isn't a question board, but do any of you know what this is. It's on the tongue of my 1 year old King Shepherd and I can't really afford to go to the vet unless it's really needed.

Can I get a wolf as a pet in rural NY? I want to find a wolf puppy in the woods and claim it. I have a lot of neighbors and not really a lot of woods for it to go in so that's a worry.

Unknown bird in ca

No.1981990 ViewReplyReportDelete
Hey /an/ where are the bird people here?
I spotted a bird today that im wondering if you can help me identify.
Behind my house is a dead oak tree and i saw 2 birds perched near the top. One i know was an American Kestrel. The other bird was new to me.
It was about the same size as the kestrel, it had a long straight beak. It had orange on its head and orange on its underside tail feathers. The rest of its body was a greyish color. I only saw it through binoculars for about 10 seconds before it flew away.
After some googling it looked like a Golden-fronted Woodpecker, but i live in northern california, which to my knowledge is a good ways out of its habitat.
Anyone have an idea what it could be?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Pic related is what it looked similar too.

This person sells squirrel legs, goat heads, and duck feet. He's a "Satanist". He and his wife kill and dismember wildlife and sell the parts.
