Cockatiel burnt his feet. Bleeding out of toe.

Hey /an/, I got redirected here from /adv/.

TL;DR: Cockatiel burnt his feet and is now bleeding constantly out of one toe/leg. Please help.

My cockatiel flew in a pan with boiling hot water a few days ago. He now has small burn wounds on his legs and blisters. I've been cleaning his legs with Iodine and I've tried to keep it as clean as possible. I looked like he was healing relatively well.

This morning I've found him on the bottom of his cage in a small pool of blood. I've rushed him to the vet and he gave some antibiotica and told me to keep cleaning with Iodine and cover his foot with starch.

I put him in a box with no perches, covered the ground with starch and cleaned his legs really good. He's now asleep...

He keeps fucking bleeding and the vet says he can't do shit. There is no other vet that specializes in birds so I'm fucked.

Does anyone have experience with treating burn wounds on cockatiels?

I bought some grass for my cat. I'm not a gardener and don't know the slightest thing about caring for plants, but I do know it was pretty badly root bound (slightly less severely than pic related). I spent a while gently loosening and untangling the roots before transplanting it into a container roughly the size of a shoe box but I don't know if I did it well enough. The roots on the outside/bottom of what was the 'ball' are completely free, with inner roots being fairly loose and easy enough to move around, but not untangled. I asked some family that gardens casually if they thought it was good enough, and they said it was, but I'm still not sure. Should I go back and completely loosen the roots or is it not being a tight ball of roots good enough?

Hi /an/. I have a bunch of mockingbird in my back yard and none of them will be quiet, all they do is sing really loud and there are so many. How can I make them be quiet or go somewhere else? I wave a broom and throw rocks and they only leave for like five minutes then they all come back and start singing again.

>Local County-Run Shelter
>Horrendous record of treatment of animals
>They are killing dogs to make room.
>Despite killing dogs to make room, they are turning people away (which they cannot legally do) and telling people to put the animals on craigslist.
>A man left his dog there 6 months ago, after being assured that the dog would not be harmed.
>Told shelter staff that in any event that the dog was at risk, he'd come collect her.
>Dog is aggressive to other dogs, perfect with humans of all sizes.
>Shelter REFUSES TO TELL POTENTIAL OWNERS OF ANY AGGRESSION, INCLUDING HUMAN AGGRESSION. (This is how people and animals die.)
>Shelter recently handed dog over to convicted drug dealer, for free.
>Guy comes back in under a week, chains the dog up, drags it around by the neck, and threatens to kill it if the shelter does not take it back.
>They gave him euthanasia papers, which he signed.
>They killed the dog.

Had to vent, /an/.
