Hey, /an/.My 3 year old Yorkie just made a bloody stool (see pic).
She's been her normal, active self, besides the poop.
I would take her to the vet but they're closed right now and there's no other sort of emergency care hospital for pets where I live.
What can I do to help her until I can take her to see the vet tomorrow?

What kind of dog food should I buy my 15 y/o dachshund? I never put her on "senior" dog food, because she has always been a good size. I have been buying her blue buffalo dog food, but because she's getting up there in age I'm wondering if there's a better brand or kind of dog food that I can give her, so she can stay healthy at her old age.

Senior dogs need lots of high-quality animal protein to prevent muscle wasting. A raw or high-meat canned food (Weruva if your dog is overweight, Instinct or Wild Calling if your dog is losing weight) is the healthiest, if you have to do a dry food Orijen, Farmina N&D, and Instinct are going to be the best.

Some pure bred dogs are unhealthy, brachiophilic ones especially, however I have two purebred bulldogs (British) and they have no health problems, but like fat people struggle in hotter weather, it's not like my mum forces them to go jogging or to compete in agility. They're house pets and beautiful friends, my last bulldog died of old age at about 12 and my current dogs are 3 and 8 the older ones only very recently starting to show sings of stiffness. Where as I know someone with a Labrador x German shepherd (at a guess) and it had loads of health issues, a heart defect, cists galore and eventually died of cancer.
It's a pot luck with health with any animal or human but there are certainly things intelligent breeders can do to avoid a handful of things, the rest is unavoidable.

The only people to try and 'shame' of that was even a cool thing to do would be the breeders who are just pumping out litter after litter from shit dogs. Otherwise just talk to your local representative and try and get something done in the legislature

Grizzly x polar bear is viable, has been documented, but some populations of grizzly bear are more closely related to polar bears than other grizzly bears anyway.

Intergeneric offspring in tetrapods are on the rare side, though they do happen. But panda hybrids with any other ursid would be extremely rare even in captivity, if at all possible. Species in Ursus are fair game though. Might be possible, but it's very unlikely.

Someone told me all the bears most common ancient ancestor was more or less panda? Anyone know any more? Polar bears and grizzlys make giant super bears and they're becoming a problem I'm northern regions where the polar bears are coming onto land to escape melting ice.
