I live there too. A few weeks age I had a giant pod of harbor porpoises check me out while rowing around. A few surfaced right next to me and then went back to their business and kept far away. There were so many at one point, the sound of them breaching was pretty much constant. They are surprisingly small little guys.

Every lab I've met

Yellow:
Big dumb ass, usually owned by an urban family with a lot of kids, untrained, bat shit insane.

Black:
Only seen at the cottage. Can't be owned by anyone unless they own a cottage. Sticks to itself, swims a lot, hates everyone but the little kids.

Chocolate:
Chill as fuck. Mostly owned by hunters or farmers. Very well trained.

I like mine better. You can have a pic taken with one of the big pythons (a full grown male African rock python, a full grown female leucistic burmese python, and a full grown female reticulated python) the store owns for 5 bucks. The only catch is they require at least two employees to be there for it, and half the time only one is there.

That same store fired my favorite employee for some reason. The owner told me when I asked one day if he was around and he said he had to fire him. My guess is it was because the guy was forwarding customers to his own gecko breeding setup at his house when the store didn't have what customers wanted. I think he was stealing business, but he was good enough to open his own place I think.

He had diabetes. He was lethargic so we brought him to the vet. When he finally brought him to get checked out, he started to get tremors and his breathing was becoming rapid. They determined he was going to die soon so we had to put him down.

But he did piss on my head this morning since he fell asleep with me last night. Still, I couldn't get angry at him and I'm gonna miss him.

I mean sustainably and ethically sourced. Animal feed produced from the most ethical and environmentally-friendly means possible. I'm not putting my cat on a vegan diet, but I don't want to feed her shitty ground-up chicken feet and other byproducts from the factory farming industry that go into other feed brands. I'd prefer to feed her animals that were treated responsibly.

I'm going to get a cockatiel soon and I found someone who is selling handfed/tamed ones for a good price.

The thing is that she says that it's around 6 weeks old and already weaned. When I was looking around on the internet, I read that most cockatiels aren't weaned until maybe 8 weeks old.

Does this mean that she's forcibly weaned it off too early? I have baby bird food on me, so would it be a good idea to try to see if the bird will take to a hand feeding session?

Dried fruits are very high in sugar and should be fed sparingly as treats. Healthier whole food options are fresh greens. In my experience birds like to nibble on the leaves for fun and for noms.

What type of pellet are you feeding? Some brands are horrible. Brands I personally trust are harrisons and roudybush.

6 week old weaned cockatiels are not uncommon. Should be fine. Feed veggies, pellets and seeds now.
