I just caught this spider.
Since I now a shit about spiders, or arthropods in general, I'd like to know what kind of spider I got.

Pretty sure it's a cross spider. I've heard that they can pierce human skin with their bites, but they're not dangerous in the least.

They are bros, and will probably kill off those dangerous artropods you mexicans probably have.

Certainly looks like a type of Orb Weaver.
I see similar ones in Calgary that are referred to as marbled orb weavers, they dont have that cross on your spiders abdomen.

Orb weavers are decent spider bros. Not in the high tier of spider brodom but certainly worthy of respect.

As others have already stated it looks like a cross spider orb weaver. We have them in Europe too, they're harmless and very common.

I see a lot of cross spiders in gardens in Norway that have similar or identical coloration to the one you've caught. Coloration and patterns can apparently vary quite a bit though, even within a single species. I've seen fucking neon green orb weavers in Norway, that's pretty freaky when you're not used to exotic-looking arachnids and insects.
