I dug this thing up in when gardening, never seen anything like it.any ideas what it is? Also it was writhing around and looked like it was trying to shit that black thing out its ass.

It's a grub, if you have a dog and you find some when gardening in your yard, give it to your dog just like a doggy treat. To humans they may seem disgusting, but canines love to get grubs, my dog Sapho would always sit with us as we gardened and we'd toss them to her
