Hi /an/. I have a bunch of mockingbird in my back yard and none of them will be quiet, all they do is sing really loud and there are so many. How can I make them be quiet or go somewhere else? I wave a broom and throw rocks and they only leave for like five minutes then they all come back and start singing again.

You can try hanging up tin pie plates. The shiny tin blowing in the wind (if there is any) usually will scare them off..for awhile. We use to do this to help keep birds out our fruit trees.

I live in a nice subdivision and wouldn't flying pie pans look niggery? I used to have doves and blue jays and they didn't bother me as much but I still hate them. These mockingbird are MUCH worse birds.

I don't know about mockingbirds, but even with noises, those work for about 10 minutes with pigeons.

Just get an air rifle and take them out. 5 birds don't matter. I've done it with black capped chickadees and English sparrows

Iv'e thought about getting the pellet gun after them, there are too many though and they sit on the fence and power lines between me and a neighbors yard, theres a good chance most of them would fall into my neighbors yard.

Instead of a pellet gun use a paint ball gun. There are some cheap ones that doesn't have that much pressure like the ones that you cock that way it will run them off instead of killing them
