It's actually not that bad, 15 min quick comb 3-4 times a week, 1/2 hr full brush-out once a week, 1 hr trimming once a month (this includes nails). Full 3 hr bath/blowout as needed (in the summer when we swim it can be weekly, in the winter we can go the whole season without needing to).

And if you really value your time you can hire someone to do this for you.

Also, just wanted to point out the irony that the pictured dog is not groomed at all.

How long do you really think it takes to brush a dog? You have to assume most people who get a dog get one because they like it and want it and therefore all the activities such as training, exercise, walking, playing, and even brushing bring them pleasure simply because they love caring for their animal. And most likely they like the aesthetics.

I had a long haired dog and it wasn't much work at all.
