>>1986180looks like a female american gold finch... i'm in the poconos and we have them here too
>>1986155depends on the bird really whether or not they come back... i had 2 fully flighted budgies who got out of their cage in my garden, one never left and let me put her back in the cage... the other did and flew past our neighbors house, but i found him just behind the garden fence on his way back whistling back to me every time i whistled to him... i happened to get lucky though...
birds that are afraid of people tend to either not be used to them, or to have had bad experiences... my green cheek will chill with people she just met, sitting on their shoulders and preening them... she's also extremely attached to my s/o and i... but i got her handraised from a breeder and made a point to socialize her often to get her to this point + she's just generally friendly and outgoing anyway
>>1985214they just kinda seem to do weird shit tbh... he's probably just playing
>>1983587my green cheek is relatively quiet a lot of the time, but female budgies are even quieter... it's male budgies that tend to make a lot of noise
>>1983188never had a cockatiel, but my green cheek is really affectionate, friendly, playful, easy to deal with etc
the only thing is if you don't have a lot of time for a pet don't get a green cheek, they need a lot of attention
