hey /an/ coming for some advice!
Long story short: I was smoking a cigarette outside my house (about 11 pm) and a stray cat was in my driveway, I enticed the cat to get closer and it was very friendly and vocal (albeit desperate) though it did seem to have a cough. Now I live in southern New England and it's getting pretty chilly at night so I feel bad just leaving the cat outside. I cannot take the cat inside as I own a dog and there are way too many x-factors for things that can go wrong. I have no real food for the cat though I did leave it water. I know it'll keep coming back which is good as I intend to call animal control as soon as I can to take the cat to safety. As of now it is hanging outside of my house and meowing a lot when it see's me.
My question is, is there anything I can do for the cat to help keep it warm through the night? I don't want it to freeze but taking it in really isn't an option.
