I just rescued a 3-4 year old Chihuahua/Pug mix about a month ago, and there are still a lot of issues with her and my 2 year old pug. She was spayed shortly before we got her so I'm not sure if it's a hormonal thing or a bad past thing.

She is very food aggressive. I accidentally dropped a bag of treats, and when I went to get them she placed her entire body over them and growled viciously at me. I had to cover her with a towel and yank her away with it to get the treats without getting bitten. She reacts similarly with bones and hoards them all, even if she has one she'll steal the pug's. She also acts protective over dog food. When I go to feed her a treat, she takes a treat so quickly/harshly she often bites my fingers.
