What are some relatively cheap Sparring Gloves?

I need something that's fairly cheap. I'm not looking into seriously using them for competition or anything. Just something to work out with, hit the bag and do occasional but rare sparring.

Suggestions?

I'm telling you once try them you'll see they are no good.

I'm had those gloves and returned them. If you really want to purchase them then go for it but there are way better options for the same price.

OP and everyone should have separate gloves for the bag and sparring.

Sparring with the same gloves you hit the bag with is kind of a dick move.

Because they're made differently.

Bag gloves are made with denser foam that absorbs the impact of a heavy, solid object better.

Sparring gloves are made of softer foam that transfer the force of your punch less than denser foam would. Primarily for protection since you're sparring, not fighting.

Training gloves are good enough for both, but you should still own two pairs. If you wear down the leather and padding on a heavy bag, it's going to be a bitch when you hit someone with them in sparring.

The month that I tried them out the small velcro strap would come off when I was punching. It was flimsy and didn't think it would last long.

The glove was way to stiff and just didn't feel good at all the the 10 year pair of Everlast gloves when I did boxed for a short time in high school.

Next pair of gloves I'm thinking of getting are these.

I tried both and the Rival face saver is really good.The lining feels great and the face saver definitely protects what it's supposed to.

If you are looking for a mexican style headgear with good nose protection the Ring to Cage Mexican Style 3.0 is pretty good. Peripheral vision is kind of limited but its not that bad.

I'm starting to get into boxing and I want to buy 1 pair of gloves for all purposes basically. I'm not a big guy and pretty lightweight (5.8 foot. 154lbs / 176cm, 70kg) What weight gloves should I get? Any specific suggestions?

Yeah, but the difference with everlast is that a $50 set of gloves comes with a punching bag and wraps.

I'm not even joking. A couple years ago I got a 40lb punching bag with the hardware to hang it and a set of gloves and wraps from everlast on Amazon for $47. They're the dirt cheap bang for your buck option, and I don't mind. The bag is great quality and the gloves will let me hit it.

I have both Everlast grappling gloves and boxing gloves, both for sparring, and they have lasted me for a while now. Not seeing any wear so far. Mine were €60,- which is what I assume to be entry level.

I saw king Conor wearing them and thought they must be good. They feel pretty nice, trying them out soon.

Bit late I know, but can you tell me which size did you buy? I'm 6'7 and have some big ass hands, and only option on Amazon is L/XL.
Wondering how they size up.

The same gloves are available in a 16oz version on Amazon, but cost 20 bucks more.
(And with international shipping plus customs duty those 20$ will grow a lot more.)

The heavy bag is the main thing that messes up gloves. Unless you've got sandbags in the pads you'll be fine.

Pretty much any of the big names are fine unless you're looking for something specific. From what I understand Everlasts' stuff is actually quality when you start getting into sanctioned fight territory. Title and Ringside make good, affordable stuff.Grant and Cleto Reyes are the best of the best.

Just got my new twins but i'm concerned about the hand compartment. If i pull them on all the way to where my knuckles touch the front of my glove, my fingers are pushing up against the front of the glove. Is this normal? I feel like the leather would wear from constant friction with my middle finger

I doubt the thinner padding is going to be the deciding factor on whether or not you KO a guy. But Cleto Reyes is pretty much always a good choice as far as a I know.
