Rugby or Muay Thai

No.740473 ViewReplyReportDelete
So /asp/, I'm currently facing a dilemma, as I'm hesitating between taking up either Rugby or Muay Thai as an activity for the year. I know that Rugby is not an "alternative sport", but I'd like you to tell me what are, according to you, the pros and cons and what I'll get or not from both sports, as objectively as possible since I know that we are on a very martial art-oriented board. Thanks
(PS: if this has any use in helping me choose one out of the two sports, I'm 200cm/ 6'7 tall and 85 kgs/ 187 lbs)

Underwater rugby

Anyone can be an underwater rugby player. Your neighbour's wife, your coworker, your classmate could be one of those crazies and you may never know. The game is a combination of two of the toughest sports, water polo and rugby, except... That it's unique as hell. No odd shaped ball, no fakie-fakie-long throw, no offside, etc. There is a lot of swimming and it's a full contact sport. And it's played breathhold and it has 3 dimensional gameplay. Like Quidditch or Blitzball, just takes a bit more conditioning than sitting on a broomstick or in front of a Playstation. It's never going to be mainstream unless someone is crazy enough to invest in a plexiglass arena. Enjoy!

/asp/ics, how often do you train per week? How long per session? What's your job/how does it have an incidence on your training?
Recently started Muay Thai, but because of studies I'll only be able to go to the gym on the Monday and Thursday, 2 hours sessions each. Are the sessions too close to each other?

Winter Ball for /asp/ calling all Drawfags.

No.745971 ViewReplyReportDelete
ok guys. so it looks like the most popular choice in our poll was /n/ with /fit/ being in second place. but seeing as /fit/ is going to the ball with /cm/ and /y/ it looks like /n/ is our best choice. If any drawfags and writefags wanna prep some OC so we can ask them post it in this thread.
