>>722889I am sorry but I have to disagree, you do have to make it a contest, you do have to push them to focus. I give them plenty of time and chances to cool down and drink water, and during instruction they're not at their hottest.
The way the classes are set up are
*warm up with running and various sprints around the room, stretching
*pace wrestle and or knee wrestling
*instruction, working on shots or tilts, teaching them new information and technique.Followed with uchi komis (reps)
*Going live (this is where the room is at its hottest)
*Running again.
So the way my classes are structured students are able to acquire and study their skills through uchi komis/reps because they're not at their most tired or drain.
I feel like I am explaining myself i like to hear how you teach and instruct. Not being disrespectful just curious since we are having this dialogue. I've been coaching for 4 years. Been practicing for 19. So i'm rather confident in my teaching, coaching and training methods.
