https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfmPcpi4sfcThe most common serves are the pendulum serve, reverse pendulum serve and the back hand serve.
I complete shit at hitting any kind of pendulum serve, so I stick to heavy back spin back hand serves. Watch the top players and try and mimic their serves. Look up some serves on youtube.
>ForehandA lot of new players that I have seen have trouble with their fore hands.
Try doing drills like this with a friend. This will get the motion that you will need down. You will see the top players doing this as a warm up before they play.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnaY6ltLY-gKeep hitting with your forehand no matter what. Move your feet if you need to. Keep hitting back and forth with your forehands. Keep it to each others forehands as well.
This is for AFTER you have done a lot of the above drills and honestly have practiced it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XSv6UK2CMI>BackhandFor most new players their back hand is a lot better than their forehand. This should be a little bit easier.
This is the same drill as the fore hand but you are hitting with your back hand now. Only hit with your back hand and move you body if you have to, to keeping hitting with your back hand.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDtxRDnGpPM>FootworkFootwork is the most important thing in Table Tennis. If you have no footwork you will never be good.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cU9ThmrBNFYObviously you don't need to go all out like these Chinese guys but at least get some side to side footwork practice. You need to be able to move from one side of the table to the other rapidly. European players have a noticeable footwork problem compared to the Chinese players.
(This is my biggest problem as well)
