Imagine a bread cutting with knife, with serrations designed specifically for flesh.
Obviously now-a-days mostly sold ceremonially or ornamentally for tourists, usually made of horrible low quality steel, much like ornamental kukri knives.
Stiletto or combat daggers and even basic armour make these kinds of weapons redundant, but back when a knife like this would have been in common use, it would have only been in the equatorial countries which would customarily entail light clothing in all seasons.
