pretty embarrassing tbh, it was funny though i guess

now that i think about it, street skating is pretty consistently embarrassing. even the best skaters fall quite a lot and to someone that doesn't skate it looks absolutely ridiculous. it takes the ability to absolutely not give a fuck what others think of you to really stick with skating, especially street.

I finally did a stationary shove it a couple days ago and I can do a 3-4 inch ollie rolling really slowly as of that day as well.

You've developed a style that slightly distinguishes you from other filmers

I meant it in a good way, so probably the first. You put those tricks down to film and the super-8 is your signature. IF, I said IF, you are lucky, in case someone spots you here in 4chan, best case scenario is they wait for you to succeed with the super 8 so they can copy, because they don't dare venture into that by themselves. But if they like it, you 're going to be "who's gonna believe that I was the first person to know to film on super-8?".

Personally, I think super-8 is unique. Now you have to have some unique skating to go with it. And by unique, I mean Welcome/Fancy Lad unique.

Just got a couple recently. The board quality is not bad or anything, but not so great either. Compared to PS-STIX decks, the wood seems cheaper. It's softer, chips easily, and seems heavier. They don't flip as good. Also, the concave is deeper and the nose/tail are noticeably higher/not as flat so it's not as roomy over the bolts.

Overall, the deck was still worth getting. Especially for the sick graphics.

I'm honestly starting to think I would have killed myself if it weren't for skating. No matter what emotional turmoil I get in, skateboarding always recanters me, clears my head, and allows me to think things through logically instead of reacting to rash emotional impulses. I've been trying to get my ollies down for a month now, and if I'm not moving super fast I manage to turn around 90 degrees and if I move too fast I don't pop high.

I don't even pop high to begin with, and when I do my ollies I don't even snap the tail it just lifts the front end up.
Is this a timing issue or what?

Also some buddies and I found a large flatground spot in the middle of nowhere and are planning to build a DIY there

If you feel like you're going too fast and can't do any of these then get really low on your board and then sit your ass down on the road gently and slide out. Your jeans and maybe underwear will get destroyed, and you might get some bad road rash but you're not going to slam, fracture anything, or bonk your noggin and get brain damage from this. If you want an example of this go watch destination unknown where Frank gewer bombs that giant ass him. It's right after the robby/pfanner part.

Arizona, hands down. Phoenix and Tempe specifically. We have an amazing skate scene and really good locals. Plus many cool teams have come out of this area....Welcome, Pyramid Country, that dude Jaws (Aaron Homoki), etc.
