>>749643>Gun handling and precision shooting. That'd be okay for civilians who's major threat would be getting mugged on the street. It may or may not work in home-invasion, multi-opponent situations.
For people who are involved in gang activity and violence, getting shot on the streets, in your home, and during home-invasion is more likely.
After learning the basics (precision shooting), tactical shooting is the way to go, all the way.
Precision shooting is like the technique portion of martial arts, you learn how to throw a punch, you learn how to kick, you learn how to apply a submission, etcetera.
Tactical shooting training is like the drills and exercises of martial arts. It's like pad work, bag work, "I punch, you block", that kind of stuff.
After you have the technique, and learned how to apply the technique, you should do some sparring.
Sparring is very important in applying what you've learned, sparring is important for actually fighting people and competing, I'm sure you can agree on that.
So, to apply these things, you need to play some Airsoft or Paintball; maybe if you know some military people, and they do that training in the area, you could convince them to let you participate in their paintball training where they use realistic paintball guns and shoot at each other to apply their training.
Not doing this is like not sparring.
