was in a boxing gym. a guy rocked up, fat as fuck, couldnt keep up with cardio and tired after running less than 200m.
lot of muscle though, could tell he lifts, but he also stuffs his face so he kind of just looked like a fat blob.
anyway. apparently he "trains" at a friends boxing place. the coach has been there, told us afterwards that its shit. the trainer does not even turn over his punches, despite this he still won a few minor titles here and there.
this guy actually does decently against a few of the other boxers. albiet at a huge weight advantage.
moral of the story, if you are above average in weight, learn to defend yourself through sparring. forget cardio, forget bagwork, just hit people and get hit.
if you want to compete in boxing though, its a different story.
