genetics play a role in everything your body does in some way, but I would suspect in the case of brain durability the difference would be so minimal between people it wouldnt matter

It does play a bit but the biggest factor for brain damages is taking huge blows in the head. Like some guardless idiots.

That's what I always thought but Ali was a fantastic defensive fighter. People would say oh in his last few fights he got hit lots of times that's why he got brain damage but you have shitty defensive fighters who have long careers of taking big shots but are no where near as badly fucked up as Ali.
