Modafinil is NOT recommended if you have tachycardia. I don't know how you feel after taking a pill, but just know it might fuck your heart up. If you feel your heart POUNDING through your chest wall, go ask a doctor. They have 100% patient autonomy. They can't talk shit about your concens, so tell him you are taking modafinil, and you want him to check your heart and blood etc.
