Since you're talking about education to get there, you have two main choices:

Business. Problem? There are so fucking many people in business, it's hard to *do* much with the degree, and if you end up doing anything business-related but *don't* have partial ownership, your pay is probably going to be shit.

STEM. Work in science of engineering, start up a company based on some form of technology. Also a big longshot, but if you're in engineering, you have a fallback of an upper-middle-class career from having an engineering degree.

I'd suggest going for at least the MS.

You don't learn shit in an AP course. I teach software engineering at a large university; as part of accreditation, we give credit for AP exams, but the CS class we give for AP credit is a complete throwaway course, because we don't trust your high school CS teacher to teach you anything useful.

I forgive you. When I was in the army our "mechanic" wasn't allowed to touch our truck, civilian contractors did everything. War is quite the business. Since the wars have winded down contractors don't get the small fortunes they used to. I have a buddy in Iraq now and he's only getting 130k for a 9 month stint.

I haven't graduated yet, but I've been making a killing training cats to use the toilet. I'm actually surprised how easily I find customers. I charge $150, set up the kit on their toilet, give some pointers on how to encourage their kitty to use the toilet, and that's basically it. Most of my success has to do with older women not knowing how to use the internet. It's glorious really.

I don't have a college degree but I make 40k working for a great company and I just bought a house in a nice neighborhood. My monthly mortgage payments are $600.

Once you factor my girlfriends salary of 50k (a marketing major), our combined income and very low to no debt helps us live very, very comfortably.

I'd say we're filthy fucking rich for being in our late 20s.

I guess what I'm trying to say is to not be stupid with how you spend your money. Invest early and you'll be fine, as long as you're not a burger flipping faggot.

business & finance can get you to that super rich category, it's not work it's "business impact & influence"

engineering is stable, but it's work so unless you plan on getting into the business aspects, it will never be super-super rich.

that being said, it's good money. i made ~$115k my first year out of college as a software engineer, been with the company for 2 years now and am at ~$130k. the top pay for an individual contrbutor probably caps around $200-250k or so. it's not super rich, but it's nice!

Become a trucker, you don't need any school, except to get your CDL licence. That's paid for by the company. For 4 years I have lived on the road, so no bills to pay. Food and my phone bill and occasionally new clothes and that's it for cost of living. I make roughly 120k a year, and now have 350k in the bank. Going to continue like this for another few years and then buy a car and a house, in cash
