>>649256060>Jackie Fraser from Rockford, ILRockford Police say they arrested a juvenile on Oct. 29 in the case of 15-year-old Andreayah McBain, whose body was found burned behind a mobile home outside Pecatonica. Police could not release the name of the suspect.
Ross Terry, the cousin of Melody Gillespie, says the body found behind a mobile home in Stephenson County has been confirmed as missing teen Andreayah McBain.
The Stephenson County Sheriff says the mobile home and the land on which the body was found are owned by two people. He says the home has been vacant for a few years.
The landowner visited the property on Oct. 27 to try to find the mobile home owner. The landowner then found the body, and called the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies recovered the body, but the coroner couldn't determine the identity of the body from initial autopsy results. However, the coroner did determine the body was a white, petite female in her late teens or early twenties. The coroner checked dental records and compared them to missing teen Andreayah McBain.
The sheriff says he believes the body was burned after the woman died, and that she was likely transported to the land.
Rockford Police say 15-year-old Andreayah McBain was reported missing by her mother, Melody Gillespie, on Oct. 26. Gillespie said her daughter was last seen on Oct. 19. Gillespie also said her daughter was a 'habitual runaway' who always returned after a few days, and generally would stay in contact with family members during disappearances.
