The following is a true story.

Yesterday while I was at work, I turned my phone on at lunch break. I had missed 2 calls from a local number. Thinking it might have been important, I phoned back.

The phone on the other end rang once, and then all I could hear was growling, random assorted noise. Nothing like digital interference/fax machines etc, just random noise.

Thinking there was a glitch with my line, I phoned back. Same thing.

I phoned once more to be certain, same thing.

I know it's spooky season, but this legitimately happened. I blocked the number from calling me again.

Does anyone know what this is? Is it a prank?
