From my little brother since he can't post on here cause he's not of age. "I am still fairly young, I'm still a preteen. I like to believe I have a lot of potential. I want to use it. I love economics, I want to learn more. I've actually got books ordered to come to my house. There's one thing I don't have that I believe I need most to reach my goal of being in the 1%. Guidance. This is what I need most, so if you please could, give me a guide to the 1%. I know no one on here is in it, I just want something I can follow, weather it be stocks, industry start ups, degrees to pursue, what level of degree, I would really appreciate it. I come from nothing. This would help me tremendously. Thank you so much." if you could help him out that'd be great. Thanks.

I've been thinking about this, and was wondering what everyone thought about selling designer clothing. Seeing as how weak the Canadian dollar was, wouldn't it be viable to buy items in Canada and then sell them to people in the US? From what I've calculated it seems that I would still be making a profit while the customers in the US would be paying less than their retail. As an example, I could pay 1300CAD(988.07USD) before taxes for a pair of Rick Owen boots at Simons, while the same item is 1125USD at Ssense. Even if I was to add a 5% charge and $50USD for shipping such a heavy item, it would come to a cost of 1087.47USD. And for smaller items, the shipping cost would be lower, thus giving a bigger discount to the customer. Also Simons often has big sales where designer items go for up to 60% off the original price, and if I was to sell those items in a similar fashion, would it not be profitable to both sides? I feel this is viable but I'm wondering if you guys could see any complications I am not thinking of?

I think I am going to get the boot tomorrow. Today in our tier marketing seminar, out of state corporate brought in a speaker to talk about personal image vs corporate image.
He was one of those presenters that won't stop "actively engaging the audience" and one of his "stop; and focus-in" moments came with the question:
"In a single word, what defines your brand?"
I don't know what came over me but I took initiative to answer first and for reasons I still haven't sorted out in my own head, I leaned back in my chair and said in an altogether inappropriately loud voice with upward intonation:
"DEEEEEEWRITOS!"
Needless to say, the entire conference room basically stopped everything and there was a few seconds of confusion before my coworker tried to laugh it off (not sure if he was doing it for my sake or to cut the awkwardness). I went up to the CMO after the seminar to attempt an apology, but he just looked away when I walked up and he immediately left.
I am so fucked.

Now I know you'd usually scoff at this, but give this one a chance:

Sorry to bother yall with a shit thread but I have been trying to find an answer to this all day. In a constant cost industry, when Fixed Cost increases does price increase in the short run? Ive heard it does but ive also heard it only changes in the long run and gets back to equilibrium at a decreased quantity

Yesterday i went to a wfg meeting and the only thing that went through my head was "pyramid scheme" but it didn't seem illegal.
does anyone here have any experience with the company or have any idea if its legit.
to me it seemed like a unethical but legal pyramid scheme
