when has QE NOT been a good thing? i dont get why you view QE as being a horrible thing that will cause great chaos
the longterm effects include international policy. like, honestly, seeing that the keystone xl pipeline plus canal expansions in panama canal combined with a looming price drop for oil with upcoming rhetoric that leads to lifting the ban on oil exports in america, and how consumer strength needs to be balanced to ensure that certain cities remain efficient for handling certain economic duties, so seeing a housing/business boom in the south shouldn't be that far fetched....
then again, who would've thought that iran would've worked with america and israel worked with russia, while russia intervenes in ukraine to protect its natural gas interests with europe, trying to circumvent american interests in building a pipeline, such as that they tried in georgia, and what we're most likely trying to do in the middle east for oil.
sure, who the fuck knows what economic policies do in the long term, it's so fucking hard to think about this stuff.
