i got this job 3 weeks ago, and ive worked well over 40 hours a week, sometimes 75 hours a week. i got this job cause my mom knows the guy who owns the business, and he told her that he pays all his employees 10$ an hour. so i went in and he said "working interview", and ive worked there ever since, ive seen the boss only 3 times, he never told me what i was making, i jjst assumed it was 10$ an hour. and today was my first payday and i got a fucking envelope with 340$ in it, under the table.

Reporting most likely won't do shit. I would just quit and take the loss. If you really need the cash you can keep the job while you look for another. If you explain to future employers that you are working already and not getting paid enough, it will make it easier to get in somewhere else.

This guy who hired you is not your friend. He is an asshole. I don't care what your business is and what your margins are, paying any human being $8/hr to work outside is fucking bullshit.

Just walk right up to the guy and tell him, "I can't work for $8/hr, but if you could raise my wage to $11/hr I will keep working for you". If he says no, walk away on the spot. Fuck em.

bruh, you could clean houses, mow lawns, paint walls, or wash cars, and make much more money than $8/hr.

Start job hunting now, the bluff should work but it'll be good to have a backup just incase, also be consious of your body language, if your arms are across your body you'll appear nervice and unconfident, make eye contact and leave your arms beside your body unless you want to use them to reinforce what your saying by pointing to yourself. Don't show the palms of your hands or spread your fingers apart, you'll appear unconfident. Putting your hands on your hips will make you seem more assertive too, but if you intimidate him to much he may feel like you're challenging his power which will make him want you gone. Good luck op

You're getting paid under the table, hence no taxes, wealth taxes a wage of $10/hour works out to to lay within the range of $7.5-$8.5 (depending on state of residence).
What your taking home is what you would take home if you made $10 on the books.
