>work in an small planing office for 5 years since its foundation (only 3 of us in the begining)
>in the last years we grew, our office grew larger, got more responsibilities, have to supervise younger employees
>ask for a raise in august for motivation since the year was a crunch that doesn't seem to end (the boss is never in the office, however takes EVERY project thrown at him even if we are way over our capacity) I work over-hours handling 6 projects simultaneously with 2 of them where I am overseeing the construction and have to permanently produce shop drawings, didn't have vacation for more than a year.
>boss says ok for the raise, next month I get it on my account
>this month however it was on the level from last year, minus the raise
>ask wtf?, he says I gave you too much, it was an error, lies he never said he'll give me the raise
>work continues, I take my vacation from the office now, since I was not allowed in summer, just to be able to manage the construction supervisions in that 'free time', making me to essentially work in my vacation for free, since his office management is flawed as shit, and the projects need to be completed, else we gonna get fucked with claims.
>Why do I do this? I need a couple of more months of experience to be allowed to make my states exam and become independent.
How much shit should I eat before I decide to switch office to someone who knows how to run it? Am I being delusional and that is what everyone experiences at work, the grind before achieving?
