What is with the housing market in Toronto/GTA?

Does this shit make sense to anyone else? How the fuck are people affording 1.4 million dollar homes and will this shit ever slow down?

People have been predicting a crash since literally 2004
I don't think I will ever be able to afford a home, any thoughts?
