Retards, its as if no one here knows basic economics.

the whole point of a negative interest rate is so you take your money OUT of the bank and spend/invest it. Of coarse its not the banks that want this, but some central banks are thinking about it, and the central banks charge the interest rate on the banks who pass it on to you.

If it does happen, the best thing to do is to take your money and invest it in financial instruments. Which is exactly the goal that the negative interest rate is trying to achieve. To stimulate investment.

I don't think everyone knows how to invest money properly. I know a lot of people who are amazing at doing honest work and sticking to a budget. Drastically deviating would screw up their "financial ecosystem".

Pretty sure most banks will just increase checking account fees.

Of course this is in Real Terms not Nominal.
Not even the central bankers are stupid enough to call it what it is.
Inflation is a negative Rate against the individual cash holder.
Its like in Overlord. If you cut off the body parts of people and feed them to others then heal them; is the fed going to be sustained after the injured grows back or will they perish.

Vs just arena combat winner eats the loser and lives.

Deflation is not a fun time.

If I invest in something, I fucking invest in it. All negative interest does is make my life a tiny bit more inconvenient.
