Hey /biz/

sow i want to sell my CPU power when i'm not using my computer. Is this profitable? Any guys with experience?

Do you live in Iceland or another country with disgustingly cheap electricity?

Do you have bills included in your rent, or are otherwise not paying for your electricity?

Selling your CPU cycles, either directly or by mining bitcoins or whatever tends to not be very profitable when the answer to both of those questions is no.

yeah i probably never get out of the electricity bill. Then again, i live at my parents house. And i'm not paying for it. sow..Think i will run it for a while and see what it wil do.

Well, AWS give new companies free micro servers for a year. So that might be worth it.

I've just installed this on an AWS t2.micro instance - still got a free one on my account. Will update on how this goes.

Does anybody know any other programs? Given that this probably doesn't use 100% utilisation it would make sense to install some more.
