Just because the truck can drive itself doesn't mean there won't be someone employed to repair it, strap it down, load/unload, it diagnose any problems, and potentially drive it in unforeseen or dangerous conditions.
If anything in 10 years happens, it's that truck drivers will have a much easier time at their jobs because they can just sit back and watch all day. And even if they don't need someone in the truck, they will still need someone to put it back together when it breaks.
There will always be a job for people in transportation one way or another. Companies are only happy for them because they could see less accidents and insurance, when the biggest danger on the road to truckers and their livelihoods is regular everyday drivers.
