What could possibly go wrong with splurging on the IPO and shorting Medallion Financial Corp (TAXI)?

I understand Uber's legal issues right now but their future is clearly bright thus rendering the taxi business obsolete.

After researching how unhappy most Uber drivers are, I would refrain from investing until they come up with a plan to pay drivers more.

Uber's advantage was that you didn't have to get into a dirty cab with a smelly Hindu who you could barely understand. Quality white people aren't going to wreck their cars for 10 dollars an hour for much longer.

I'm already reading complaints about Uber drivers recently, and it's only going to grow from here. Creepy minorities and white trash are going to be what Uber is known for in a few years.

I haven't had a white driver for the past year. I don't use Uber that much, but there's been a definite shift. Not that I mind at all, it's always fun decoding a new accent. Bay Area and Ann Arbor, MI here, so it's not just localized to a single area. Minorities are hungrier, that's all. White folk are lazy.

The other advantage is a car exactly when you want it for an affordable rate. If drivers start demanding more money they'll just kill the point. Besides there is the higher end car demand that charges more. Uberx needs to stay cheap which is why they destroy the taxi business.
