Why do people say its a bad idea to date a coworker? Its not like we are in the same department or whatever.

Wouldnt it be pretty cool that you and your girl can go for lunch, high five each other in the hallway, makeout in the elevator (when nobody is looking) OR just keep your romance a secret which will make her wetter than a faucet

im honestly considering making a a job jump to my girlfriend's employer, despite these risks. her employer sounds 10x better than mine and its the kind of work I've been aspiring to do. but it would be a disaster if we broke up or got sick of seeing each other every waking moment of the day (since we also live together)

He is basically told to deal with it. Told that the stuff he was saying about me was totally untrue (he was saying I was stealing money, I didn't even have access to cash drawers)and if he was to tell anyone this it would be harassment and he would be fired.

He was telling them that she was sleeping with customers to get more sales or something (she was a cashier, she didn't get sales). They told him that this was sexual harassment and none of his business.

He stopped coming into work the next day.

Because work gossip is just as bad as highschool gossip. The difference is you can get fired and reprimanded for getting caught. Another thing is that lets say a couple starts fucking and then it all goes sour (which it usually does) guy gets promoted and then girl is still sour about things so now all that sexy time shit becomes leverage against you. Theres a reason why chicks fuck their way to the top, its because its the most easiest thing to do. So long story short keep it on the down low if your fucking someone and dont even think about starting to fuck someone if you want to move up in that company. Basically after relationship went south and she got shitcanned for reasons unrelated to him, all the other females in the office turned on him like he was the bad guy and caused it to happen. There was odd tension and pretty much forced him to resign. Poor guy
