>>940026I did 12/7s so 84 hours a week plus driving to work and home add another 10 hours since it's always bumfuck nowhere somewhere in the country.
About $7,000 a month net, minus expenses put me at about $5,500 for each month.
After four months I couldn't bothered anymore. Just didn't need that much money. It's not enough in a short amount of time to really get anything going. If I wanted to try my hand at flipping houses, I'd need at least 100k. I would need to be able to support my recurring bills and shit while investing months of time to flip a house alone for example.
And it's not enough to retire.
5,500 (the net take home every month)x10 (job doesn't work 2 months a year) you end up with 55k. Assuming I no-lifed like that for 7 years I'd have 395k. Let's call it 400k. And I mean no life. You're tired, you get "home" to your hotel and each, then sleep, wake up and repeat, nonstop for 10 months.
So after 7 years and constantly wanted to kill myself, I'd have 400k assuming no accidents and no extra money outside just paying off the 5 year car loan, health insurance, phone bill, some eating out, and not much else (also remember the 2 months a year need to be lived without incurring any extra expenses).
I'd now be about 30 (using an age relatively close). So, I have decent health, not fat, family genetics and history would seem to lean towards about 80-90 years of life for a male in our family. Let's say 50 years.
400,000/50 leaves me 8,000 a year. Even assuming you sell your car, and take a cheap phone plan, still need to live somewhere and pay for health insurance + food, clothes, toothpaste, normal shit and whatnot. Next step, buy a $60,000 home in some remotish place where housing prices aren't completely inflated and property taxes won't buttfuck your ass every year.
If you buy a small $50,000 home cash (and some closing costs), you might be able to get away with $55-60,000 purchase and you now have a permanent place to reside. (cont.)
