>>8693307And as a direct example from my comm, we had a girl who wasn't a mod/admin on the group page, was fairly new to the group, and constantly making events. She was really gung-ho about taking a leadership position, but terrible at organisation and planning.
Every meet she wanted to do was either one that someone else had just hosted the month before (so people didn't want to repeat it), out in her part of town (which is far away from most everyone else, and not exactly the safest suburb), or conflicted with other events (she purposefully planned two meets that conflicted with other members' birthdays, because no one came to HER birthday party, which wasn't a lolita meet, but a regular party with her family).
She eventually left, saying that no one appreciated her efforts for the comm, and that we would all regret her leaving. People didn't really notice she was gone, except that there was suddenly an absence of gossip popping up on here and BTB. And because it's a small world, she still tells people who know members of the comm how badly we treated her (over two years later). She tried to tell one girl's long-time boyfriend about the whoooole thing, when he already knew about it from the other perspective. In his words, "she thought she was a victim of abuse" at the hands of the comm.
