Moving into a smaller appartment gives less storage space. Which means some old cosplays have to go. In general, what to do with old cosplays? Some of them don't fit anymore, most of them are made my myself years ago and not fit for selling, ect ect. But you can't just store them around for sentimental value. Tell me your stories.

I keep any large pieces like capes to reuse the fabric for mockups, accessories or whatever. Zippers and buttons also get reused. The rest goes in the trash. I've been able to sell all my old wigs pretty easily on storenvy.

Is anyone else hesitant to buy a dream dress out of fear it will be rereleased? I really want to buy Puppet Circus, but I feel like it's only a matter of time before it gets rereleased. I still will probably get it anyway since, unless it is a MTO, a rerelease of it would be an absolute bloodbath unlike anything the community has ever seen before and it would still be ridiculously expensive secondhand, anyway. I have the same thing with Elizabeth Bride of Death and AatP Gloria, too.

I don't think there's too many young women in this hobby yet who seriously look at dropping $1500 as chump change..

>>8681461 are you crazy lmao.
You just live in some crazy over priced city.
I live in a two bedroom in the middle of Miami and I pay just under 1k a month for rent.
Get your head out of your ass not everyone is in the same situation as you.

OP, I feel that you are using this as an excuse to not buy your dream dress. Go for it! My dream dress was A&tP Midsummer's Night dream. I fell in love with it when I started lolita. It took me for ever to get it and I paid $600. Then it got re-released. No regrets, the dress is beautiful. You can't count on a dress getting rereleased; you might be waiting years and it might never happen.

>>8677901 I regret missing the YTP panel, but there were people checking badges in the area because of the rave and I'd made it this far without buying a badge. That being said, I found out that being drunk makes the wannabe-tourneyfags crowding the Smash Bros. setup in the game room tolerable (albeit in a "why are you taking things so seriously that you're getting mad over video games" sort of way), so you win some, you lose some.

AAC is a small con meant for younger kids, a lot of us have just aged out.

A normal wheel chair isn't impressive. If you're going to do this costume than try to build the professor's chair. It doesn't have to be too fancy but just using a normal one is sort of boring.

sometimes i have to use a wheelchair and let me tell you it is hellish trying to get around. people grab you and try to move you. you don't fit in places very easily. if a place has more than one step, you're fucked. and on top of that, wheelchairs are stupidly expensive. I'm actually stuck with a chair that's too big and heavy for me because i can't afford the £1000+ for a new one. so no, im not offended (unless you actually pretend to be paraplegic), but i would think you are a goddamn idiot for not taking advantage of having healthy legs and the freedom to walk around without extensive pain or restrictions.>fucking tavros 2.0

>>8674678 Are Spoonflower's darks any better on their synthetic fabrics as opposed to their cottons?

>>8675920 I know I can't make them go to cons they're not interested in, but it pisses me off that they want people to pay for them to go to American cons to film boring girls in Worbla bikinis but won't go to Hyper Japan, in London, which honestly with all the jfashion is much more interesting even just aesthetically.

>>8677149 Depends on how much squish you have. I can corset down from 25" to 20" with a decently curvy corset, but it only puts pressure on my waist/abdomen not on my hips or ribcage
