The worst things about this one is when this happens in the middle of a crowded hallway, and, in the case of masq skits, when the dance just keeps going on. Just because they say you have 3 min of time on stage, doesn't mean you need to use every fucking second of that time!

I was at a con a few years back and there was this amazing Harley Quinn cosplayer with a GIANT ass mallet. I had just finished volunteering for the con for 10 hours and ran into her and told her her cosplay was badass. She just rolled her eyes and kept walking. I'll always remember that, and I'll always remember her. Doesn't help that we're a small community here and she dresses up as the same characters every chance she gets.

I'm not picky but when the price =/= taste I want to weep. I bring my own food/snacks anyways but I wish there were better food stands at conventions.
Have any of you ever had a good experience with convention food? Or cons located around good restaurants?

Oh man that's my favorite too. There's just something about someone actually wanting to be in the picture with you that just makes me happy. My first con me and my bf wore not so great Touhou cosplays but this adorable little girl just lost her shit over our cosplays and got her dad to take a picture with us. It really made my con. Another time more recently some guy came up and wanted to take a selfie with me. I kinda wish I could have seen that picture I'll bet it looked pretty cool because he was wearing a pretty good Snake cosplay. I think. I may be wrong though I've never played those games. Either way he looked great.

Awww little kids are the cutest! They have such a genuine excitement when it comes to seeing cosplayers. Makes me so happy inside. I personally dislike wearing cosplay. I did a Misa cosplay one year, never again. I had a bad experience where 2 random chicks followed me into the bathroom because they didn't want to "lose me" so they could take my picture. Awkward.
But I get a similar Aww experience from little girls when I wear lolita, and that's an awesome feeling too!

I once went to a con where the masquerade had no time limit. A duo had a SIX minutes skit of various retarded meme dances and inside jokes. One more minute and I would have shoved my pen into my skull to free myself from that horror, I swear.
