Is this really a thing?
I've heard stories but a lot of them sound like bullshit. Then again I also know and have seen first hand one of these happen at least once.

So, any of you have any stories and/or opinions about this kind of thing?

You are truly an autist if you believe it is some amazing tale that people hook up and have sex. Well my young autistic friend people have sex everywhere. At work, at school, at concerts, at home yes even at cons. This shouldn't be amazing to you. For fucks sake it is in a hotel full of private bedrooms and people dress up in skimpy outfits for attention.

If you show up looking like you're tryna get laid, girls (I'm just gonna assume you're a straight dude because who else would start this thread) will smell it a mile off and bolt.

Come to have fun. Talk to people if you think they're cute. If they seem to open up or wanna talk / drink / etc with you, great. Maybe you might get to suck on each other's faces after everyone's gotten really drunk.

But if you and your boys show up with that "hmm now where can I park my dick" look, you're done son.

Do I think it's unbelievable that people hook up at cons and have sex? Absolutely not; it's perfectly feasible.

What I am more skeptical about are the claims that some random weeb hooked up with a 10/10 nerdy, gamer girl who does professional level cosplay and has the body of a model. Stories like this are difficult to believe. And the reason why I don't believe them is the lack of evidence (just an anecdote in the form of a story).

Basically its like any other real life situation except there is a 80% chance that someone has a hotel room steps away.

Its also SUPER easy to make a simple connection, because fandoms. Way easier than a bar where is just like hey you like.... beer?

Basically everyone at a convention is looking to make a connection of some type, whether is friendship, business or romantic

Just don't be thirsty because no one wants to hang out with that.

I've hooked up on 4 occasions this year at cons, bur they with friends and acquaintances. they happens in the hotel room party rather than at the con itself. I think that's the simplest way to go about it for con sex

Its no different than hooking up with anyone anywhere, except you already have some common ground to work on.

I met up with someone from /cgl/ and we had chemistry. We went back to my room, had a great time, and still talk on facebook. Might even do it again at the same con next month.

TL:DR A hook up at a con is no different than one at a party or concert. Except maybe for wearing cosplay or brand.
